Measles Health Advisory Measles activity continues to increase in California. As of January 30, 2015, 79 cases of measles in patients from 11 different jurisdictions have been reported to the California Department of Public Health. Fifty-two California cases and 14 out-of-state cases are epidemiologically linked to Disneyland Park in Orange County. Five confirmed and two probable cases are Riverside County residents. Students without documentation of two MMR vaccinations have been excluded from two high schools pending the end of the 21 day surveillance period. Public Health Alert: Routine HIV Screening Did you know that Riverside County has the fifth highest number of HIV cases and sixth highest number of AIDS cases of any county in California? As of December 2011 there were 4,743 reported cases of HIV or AIDS in Riverside County. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also estimates that nearly 1 in 5 people with HIV do not even know that they are infected.
