Physicians React to Congress' Plan to Cut Medicare Payments by 2.5% in 2023

Medicare physicians will face a 2.5% payment cut in 2023, under the year-end omnibus legislation unveiled this week by Congress. A vote is expected by Friday to avoid a government shutdown.

COVID-19 Healthcare Worker Retention Bonus Payments

The state of California has developed 2 programs aimed at stabilizing and retaining our state's health care workforce. One program targets Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility Workers and the other targets Qualified Health Clinic Workers. Physicians may be eligible for these programs and RCMA encourages all physicians to review the requirements and consider applying to to receive a payment.
