RCMA President, "Close Your Office Doors – Keep Your Practice Open" March 28, 2020 Coronavirus, Press Release, Telehealth All Physicians, COVID-19, RCMA President, Bruce Holmblad, coronavirus, Telehealth, Toolkits 0 A Message to all Riverside County Physicians during this time of the COVID-19 Crisis Close Your Office Doors – Keep Your Practice Open Continue to provide medical care to your patients while safeguarding the health of your office staff. We need your ongoing service and expertise during these challenging times. It is imperative that doctors take steps NOW to protect their patients, their staff and themselves. If you haven’t already: Move to telehealth and work from home. Your goal should be to see 80-90% of your patients via Telehealth (note: reimbursement remains the same as in-office care) Keep one staff and one doctor in the office to provide care to patients who must be seen in person (this should be the exception) Reorganize your practice workflows to ensure care especially for high risk patients via telehealth. Schedule ALL routine office follow-ups including non-COVID-19 visits via telehealth. Do not expose your patients unnecessarily to a waiting room with both symptomatic and asymptomatic carriers. To transition quickly and easily to Telehealth, download the RCMA’s Telehealth guide at www.rcmadocs.org/covid-19 Sincerely, Bruce Holmblad, M.D. President Download Telehealth Guide Download Practice Posters Comments are closed.
